Arrived around two o’clock on a Monday afternoon. It was a warm and beautiful fall day so we chose to sit outside. It was busier than normal for a Monday, but we weren’t in a hurry anyway. The wait staff worked hard. I ordered the breaded pork tenderloin. My wife ordered the chicken strips. Each entree came with fries. Mine came with lettuce, onion, tomato slice, and pickles. Unfortunately, there were so many french fries that most of the onion, the slice of tomato, and the pickles were all buried, as you can see in the photo. I didn’t even realize they were there until I had eaten some of the fries. The fries were kind of bland, there was no seasoning on them at all. The breaded pork tenderloin was delicious and quite large. The chicken tenders entree was more than enough for my wife, so we brought it home along with half of the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. Bottom line, I would eat there again, but I only gave it four stars because the french fries covered up the toppings for my sandwich. Attention to detail people!
Very cute outside. After hiking on a Fall brisk morning- the grilled cheese and chicken gumbo hit the spot! Also ordered the motz sticks because we’re fatties. Those motz sticks were fat boys. Yum
The wings are the best ever. $29 wings for $24, They are big and meaty and the sauces are amazing and they are a great deal. Sauces I love … mango pineapple and honey mustard are my 2 favorites. The garlic Parmesan sauce is really good as well as the home BBQ. The grilled cheese is $4.50 as a side and the spaghetti is $6 as a side but not enough for pasta but he sauce is good (please have a vegetarian and non meat sauce option). The side salad $3.50 was reasonable with lettuce and 1 cherry tomato and 2 carrot pieces and a few slivers of onion and 1 sliver of green pepper. The kids meal is $6.95 for an applesauce a drink and a corn dog and fries or a diff combination. Great deal and great food. I would come here all the time.
My husband and I stopped here after a hike at Mathissen State Park and we loved it here! We got greeted and seated right away, the atmosphere was great with live music playing, and our order was taken quickly. The food and drinks are priced reasonably and everything tasted great! Highly recommend giving this place a go if you want a great atmosphere with great tasting food.
Love the outside seating. The food is delicious. Wings are huge with a lot of breading but its light texture. The 8 layer salad is so filling. Kids menu options are decently priced, not paying over $10 for their meal is nice. All the options are big portions. The Italian beef, burger, wings all worth the price.
Skoog’s Pub & Grill in Utica is a great stop! The food was delightful — I had the special of the day, a bourbon burger with fries, and it was excellent. My friend ordered the wings, which were big, meaty, and had a crispy breading that held up perfectly to the sauce. The atmosphere adds to the experience — the street is closed to vehicle traffic, making it pedestrian-only with outdoor seating and a charming walkway down the middle. Dogs are welcome on the promenade, and several spots even have treats available just for your pup. A perfect place to relax, eat, and people-watch! The Utica Water is also delightful!
We had a friend recommend this place, so we decided to give it a try — and I’m glad we did! They were pretty busy when we walked in, but we still got a nice table by the window, which made for great people-watching. I ordered the Italian Beef — it was delicious but definitely more food than I could finish. The fries were perfectly crunchy and full of flavor. It’s the perfect place to grab a bite after hiking — hearty portions, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!
